We just launched a new website today, for a client in the tarpon fishing world. Silver King Lodge in Costa Rica, is an amazing all-inclusive Tarpon Fishing Resort & Lodge. While they have A LOT more species swimming around than tarpon, most people come for the tarpon for a reason.
When I say all-inclusive, they mean it. It comes with 3 buffet-style meals every day, and the food looks amazing! They have a lot of cabins that are well-maintained and air conditioned for a good nights sleep. And my favorite...a massage is available after fishing! Tough to beat the options and accommodations they have to offer in Costa Rica.
Now let's talk fishing. Costa Rica is well-known for the size and number of tarpon in the area. And they have a fleet of newer, clean boats with captains that are well-seasoned. You will have a lot of opportunities to fight one of the hardest fighting fish around! And one of the best parts, you don't have to travel far from the resort to get to the best areas. They're literally around the corner!
The goal for Silver King Lodge was pretty similar to most of the charters we work with. They want their site to be a lead-generator again. The website was designed by a big company that unfortunately knows very little about SEO. Not only did the site traffic tank, but so did all their keywords on Google.
No worries though, that will all change. We literally re-wrote the ENTIRE website from start to finish, to ensure the proper content was in place (and without the Google penalties). They have more video coming soon, which we will integrate into the website for engagement purposes.
We also condensed the website, a lot, by eliminating the "dead" pages from the old website. EVERY page we built was designed to CONVERT (get customer to call or email). So when they arrive, the entire journey is based exactly what they were looking for on the search. While matching the Google search with proper content sounds elementary, it's unfortunately wildly missed in this industry.
Every month it seems a new Fishing-Based Website provider is popping up. While we cannot say they're ALL "bad", but you'd be surprised by the mistakes most providers make on their web design.
