We had a new site launch this past week for Flyway Media - meet Big Thompson Outfitters in Johnstown, Colorado. They aren’t just any waterfowl outfitter, however. From start to finish, this is what I would call a “Deluxe” or Extreme waterfowl hunting outfitter. Why do you ask?
Well, first off, they pick you up from the airport in a tricked-out limo. Nice touch.
Amazing Hunting Lodge - This place seems to have almost everything you’d ever want in a hunting lodge, including even an insane golf simulator. And out your back door is a private 40-acre lake.
The 40-acre lake has A LOT of nice fish in it, including both largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, crappie/bluegill, rainbow trout, catfish, and perch. You literally have the lake to yourself, and there are plenty of activities outside of fishing, as well (if that’s your thing).
NOW, let’s talk about the waterfowl hunts they offer. They literally have
EIGHT custom hunting blinds. Whether it’s a large custom blind off the large lake or even custom underground pits and everything in between, they DID NOT skimp on any of these blinds, either. They’re all super modern and comfortable to hunt out of.
They also offer top-notch meals, including breakfast in the blind. As I said earlier, from start to finish, this outfitter goes the extra mile on everything.
This is an ideal place for large groups, corporate trips, etc., as they’re set up to handle these types of settings.
In the off-season, you can rent the place with the lake and have it all to yourself. So if hunting isn’t an option for your group, maybe nicer weather and fishing are more suited. Either way, they have a way to enjoy this place and the outdoors.
